Sam Goebel
Auctioneer, Realtor, Personal Property Appraiser.
Sam was raised in Wabash Indiana and is a 1966 graduate of Andrews High School. After graduating, he attended Ball State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in 1970. That same year Sam joined the Indiana National Guard and also began working as teacher. In 1972, Sam decided to begin a career in real estate. 1974 he earned a master’s degree from Saint Francis College and in 1976, made the decision to become a licensed real estate broker. In 1979, Sam along with his wife Judy purchased Oak Crest Realty. While working as a realtor, Sam recognized the need for a personal property Auctioneer. In 1982 Sam became a licensed auctioneer after attending Reppert’s Auction School. In 1987, Sam attended the Certified Auctioneers Institute earning the prestigious CAI designation. Sam has conducted numerous real estate, personal property, and charity auctions. Sam has won many awards during his time as an auctioneer and realtor. In 1999 Sam was crowned the Indiana Auctioneers Association Bid Calling Champion. That same year, he was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, Sam was named RE/MAX Broker Owner of the Year in 1992, 2002 and 2003. Other awards Sam has won include being named a member of the RE/MAX Executive Club, RE/MAX 100% Club, RE/MAX Sagamore Club, and the RE/MAX Platinum Club. Sam was named North Central Indiana Association Realtor of the year in 1998. Sam has served as a board member of numerous auction and realty committees, including District Chairman of Indiana Auctioneers Association.
Sam currently resides in Plymouth with his wife Judy and is an avid outdoorsman. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and boating with his family and is an active member in The First United Methodist Church.
Dave Goebel
Auctioneer, Realtor, Managing Broker, Personal Property Appraiser.
Dave Goebel is the one of Indiana’s top real estate agents. A lifelong citizen of Plymouth and a graduate of Plymouth High School. After high school, Dave attended Ball State University before deciding on the path of real estate. Like his father, Dave attended Reppert Auction School and in 1995 became a licensed auctioneer in while still a senior in high school. In 1999 Dave became a licensed realtor and joined RE/MAX Oak Crest Realty in 2000. Dave recognizes that the future of the real estate and auction industries are contingent upon technology, education and the ability serve all our clients’ needs. Dave has received several awards and recognitions throughout his career. In 2007 he was named the North Central Indiana Association of Realtors (NCIAR) realtor of the year. Dave is a continuous member of the RE/MAX platinum club and has served as president of the Indiana Chapter of Certified Residential Specialist. In 2013 Dave was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of fame becoming one the youngest realtors to ever receive the honor and the second member of Team Goebel to achieve the hall of fame status. In 2009, Dave became Managing Broker of RE/MAX Oak Crest Realty. Dave currently resides in Plymouth with his wife, 3 children and 2 dogs. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, golfing and boating. He is an active member of the community serving multiple organizations including the united way and Kiwanis.
Judy Goebel CRB
Auction Representative, Realtor.
Judy Grew up in Avilla Indiana and graduated from Avilla High School. After high school she attended Indiana University where she graduated with a degree in secondary education. In 1974 she married Sam Goebel, and moved to Plymouth shortly after. She earned her real estate license in 1979 and along with her husband purchased Oak Crest Realty. Judy works as office supervisor and coordinates many marketing campaigns for both the auction and real estate divisions. After the inception of the auction division, Judy became auction office coordinator, a position in which she still holds today. She holds a Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB) designation and along with her husband was named 2003 RE/MAX Broker Owner of the Year. Judy is an active member of church and may other local organizations. When not working with clients, Judy enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoys boating, reading and shooting.
